At the culmination of the six month trainee program at Digital Society School in Fall 2019 we hosted a showcase event to present our research to the community. As our team’s designer I created a series of narrative posters to encircle our booth.
The display presented at the showcase was a brief overview of the topics we researched, and included questions such as: is a tiger always a cat? This question is relevant for understanding the role that ambiguity plays in machine learning. A tiger is always a cat, but a cat is not always a tiger, so such distinctions must be clearly defined in the training data.
